Shooting my first basketball match.
I shot my first basketball match the weekend. It was very enjoyable but very challenging.
The lighting at indoor sports halls are notoriously bad and this one was no exception.
So how do you freeze action in dim lighting? simple answer bump up your ISO to very high levels.
You really need your shutter speed to be around 1000s. So I shot in manual mode dialled in 1000s
and pushed my Iso to around 5000/6500 to get the exposure bang on. The lens I used were mainly
70-200 2.8 and 35mm 1.4. The 70-200 was great to picked up mid field players and the 35mm was great
under the hoop.
