My favourite Lens of all time. Nikon 85mm 1.4g

For me, this is the perfect lens for portraits. The 85mm 1.4g is light and puts you at the right distance from your subject. With the 35mm you're too close and can make people feel uncomfortable. The 70-200mm gives you fantastic compression, but puts you too far away, making communication difficult. It's not overly sharp and it's got character, creating beautiful soft backgrounds.

I've taken thousands of photos with this lens, and at weddings it's never off my camera, as it's also perfect for headshots.
