The Beauty of pregnancy photoshoots.

We live in a wonderful time where woman celebrate the beauty of the pregnant body. It's always a pleasure and a privilege to be able to capture these unique images.

The set up for these images are always two large soft boxes set as rim lights either side of the subject.

This creates beautiful soft light and 3 dimensional shadows, these photos are all about curves. Lighting straight on would create a very flat image. Lens wise I always use a 85mm 1.4 or 35mm 1.4 they just seem to work. The most important thing thing about these photoshoots are making the person feel at ease and comfortable never rush them, though this can be very liberating for someone it can also make them feel very venerable. Also always ask permission to use the photographs, these are very personal images that a lot of people want to keep private.
